Job description
The Office Manager is a key post within Knowing Children. Reporting directly to the Head of Programme Development, the Office Manager is responsible for organizing a lively office, for accurate recording and retrieval of documents for a varied research projects, as well as for financial control.
- Ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day office procedures
- Accounting and financial control
- Weekly reports on finance and office management issues to staff management meetings
- Proper control of filing and other documentation
- Liaison with cooperating organizations on specified issues
- Travel and accommodation arrangements
The successful applicant is likely to be more than 30 years of age. The post might suit someone with office management experience who has been out of the job market for some time due to family commitments. This is a full-time post, but flexitime arrangements could be possible.

Essential requirements
Thai national
Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in Thai and English
More than two years of employment in a post of responsibility
Work or study experience outside Thailand and/or experience of working or studying in an English-speaking environment
Proven skills in planning and organization
Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
Ideal requirements
Education to Masters’ level in business administration or equivalent
Experience of working with a non governmental organisation
Knowledge and understanding of children’s rights
